Cameo Colorado is a small town located in Montezuma County in southwestern Colorado, United States. The town has a population of approximately 100 people and covers an area of 0.2 square miles. The town's elevation is 6,394 feet (1,949 meters) above sea level. Cameo is primarily a rural agricultural area known for its orchards and vineyards. The area around Cameo is also popular for outdoor recreation activities such as hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, and boating. The town is located about 20 miles east of the city of Cortez and is close to several historic and cultural sites, including the Mesa Verde National Park and the Four Corners Monument.
